1. Who We Are
MyAlankarini is an AI-powered imitation jewellery e-commerce platform operated from India. We are the data controller for information you provide on this site.

2. Data We Collect
Account data
Name, email, phone number, and profile photo — collected when you sign up. Stored securely in Firebase (Google Cloud).
Order data
Delivery address, order contents, and Razorpay payment reference ID. We never store card numbers or CVV — Razorpay handles all payment data (PCI-DSS compliant).
🔒 Virtual Try-On data — how we handle your photos
Your selfie (input photo): Never stored on our servers.
In Freemium (BYOK) mode: your photo goes from your browser directly to Google Gemini using your own API key — we never see it.
In Premium mode: your photo is sent to our secure Cloud Function, forwarded to Google Gemini, and the result is returned. The selfie is never written to any database or storage bucket.
AI-generated output image: Saved to your account (Firestore) so you can retrieve it later. You can delete it any time from My Looks. This is an AI-created composite — not a photograph of you.
Usage data
Page views and product clicks collected via Google Analytics 4 in anonymised form. No personally identifiable data is sent to GA4.
3. How We Use Your Data
To process and deliver your orders
To provide the Virtual Try-On feature and save your generated looks
To manage your wallet balance and try-on credits
To send order confirmations and status updates (SMS / email)
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
To comply with Indian law — GST, DPDP Act 2023
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing. We do not use your photos to train AI models.
4. Data Security
All data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud), protected by Firestore Security Rules — only you and authorised admins can read your records. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Your selfie photos are stored only in your browser's localStorage (device-only) and are never uploaded to our servers.
5. Your Rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to:
📋Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
✏️Correction — update incorrect info from your Profile page
🗑️Erasure — request deletion of your account and all data
🚫Withdraw consent — stop using Try-On at any time; generated images are deleted on request
📣Grievance — raise a complaint with our Data Protection Officer
To exercise any right, email privacy@myalankarini.com with subject: Data Request — [your registered email]. We respond within 72 hours.
6. Cookies & Storage
We use browser localStorage to save your preferences, Gemini BYOK key (device-only, never transmitted), and your last generated try-on image. Firebase and Google Analytics may set session cookies. No third-party advertising cookies are used.
MyAlankarini is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, email privacy@myalankarini.com and we will delete it immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve. Changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

Gold-plated brass — Avoid rubbing. Wipe immediately if wet. Store in pouch away from humidity.
Kundan & Meenakari — Do not soak. Clean only the metal parts with a dry cloth, never the stone settings.
Oxidised silver — The dark finish is intentional. Avoid silver polishes which remove the oxidisation. Just wipe with a dry cloth.
Artificial stones (CZ, glass) — Do not immerse. Wipe with a soft damp cloth only, then dry immediately.
